Isaiah Berlin om marxismen 1936

Ur ett brev till Stephen Spender, 20 juni 1936:

I am convinced that another generation has come to an end [in Oxford], & that now unlike previous years, we are to get some intelligent and sensitive Marxists. Marxism is at present a movement with more nonsense attached to it than Fascism: there is no Fascist arithmetic: only if sufficiently honest & intelligent people begin writing will the nonsense be got rid of: at present too many silly anti-Marxist attacks are neccessarily successful, when there is no need to drag about this incubus of rubbish.
